Inside Sage

Comforting surfaces, heated massage tables, pleasant scents, select teas, and healing hands await you at Sage Bodywork.

We are so lucky to have the following therapists in our group.  We hope you think so too.

  • Kelly Fowler

Kelly Fowler began her career in bodywork in 1998.  Since then she has developed extensive knowledge of massage techniques and theory, posture and gait analysis, and treatment planning. She has applied her experience in many ways: Sports Massage at the Chicago Marathon for 10 years, orthopedic clinics, and as an instructor of Anatomy, Clinical Technique, Oriental Bodywork, and Aromatherapy at The Soma Institute. In addition to her clinical knowledge, she's also studied a variety of massage styles that complement her orthopedic work: pregnancy massage, Lomi Lomi, Ortho-Bionomy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zero Balancing, and Reiki are just a few examples. Kelly has also served as the Education Chairperson for the state chapter of the AMTA. Her interests include nutrition, green living, and cultural studies.

  • Kaela Morrison

Kaela is a licensed CMT from the Soma Institute of Chicago, and has always been fascinated with holistic healing. Her background of study integrates Eastern and Western modalities; including Reiki, Acupressure, Hot Stone Massage, Prenatal and Clinical Massage Therapy. Kaela understands that the human body is capable of profound healing, and she helps guide you to a restorative state of relaxation. Her style of massage is extremely effective for anyone who suffers from tension, chronic back pain, trigger points, migraine headaches, stress and insomnia. Kaela wastes no time by locating the origin of tension, and then works to relax & soften your tired and overused muscles. Kaela has gained clinical experience from the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and from working in a chiropractic environment, having treated many patients with conditions ranging from work and sports related issues, to car accident injuries, herniated discs, scoliosis, arthritis, high blood pressure, and more.

  • Robert Burgonio

Robert graduated from The Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy, focusing on the clinical aspect of massage. His internship was completed at Swedish Covenant Hospital, working on hospice and cancer patients. She now focuses solely on reflexology, a complimentary therapy to massage. The application of specific pressure to zones or reflex areas of the feet & hands corresponds to body organs and systems, helping a person stay balanced. Amy is currently seeking professional status with the American Reflexology Certification Board.
